An amateur turns pro when the Star stats show him as playing 20 games for a skater, 12 for a goalie.

On the Rosters page, the player will be shown with "PRO" in the contract field and "P" in the status.
Once the player plays 40 games (24 for goalies), he will automatically be called up to the main roster.
Keep your eye on roster size & position limits! If an amateur is put on the roster
and makes it invalid, THE AMATEUR PLAYER WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE WAIVED!!
